The Eviction Act  (735 ILCS 5/9-101 et seq.) requires the use of the statewide standardized form when awarding possession to a landlord. To ensure you are providing the most current version of the Eviction Order to parties, please check that the form’s date is 03/21/2021. The date is found in the bottom right-hand corner of the form. The updated fillable form can be seen at this LINK. All Eviction forms can be found at the Illinois Supreme Court Standized State Forms wesite LINK.

THE INTERSECTION OF BANKRUPTCY AND DIVORCE

​Please join the McLean County Bar Association and the Family Law Division in welcoming Mr. Firas Abunada JD. Mr. Abunada will focus this CLE on various topics such as what actions are paused due to the automatic stay, what happens to domestic support obligations, attorney's fees, guardian ad litem's fees, child representative's fees, and property settlements in a chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy. Mr. Abunada will also include an overview of Proof of Claims. He practices mostly in Will County and represents debtors in filing for chapter 7 and chapter 13 bankruptcy. He has  represented creditors in chapter 7, 11, & 13 bankruptcy matters. ​

​This will be an in person event at noon Tuesday, May 4.

​law day celebration happy hour
THURSDAY, MAY 6, 2021 
5:00 PM - 8:00 pm
LOCATION - DESTIHL BREWERY - BARREL ROOM
1200 GREENBRIAR DR, NORMAL

Our first event is on Thursday, May 6th from 5-8 pm. We are gathering in honor of Law Day at Destihl Brewery, where will have the Barrel Room reserved with appetizers spread buffet style, along with drink tickets for beer and wine (2 tickets per person). 
 
The room seats 190 people and was the largest indoor space we could reserve to maximize a socially distant gathering. A picture of the inside space is shown above as you weigh your comfort level in attending. We will have sit down seating as well as barrel cocktail tables for those who prefer to stand. 
 
We are encouraging white attire in celebration of women's suffrage which was the theme of last year's cancelled Law Day event.
 
Please pre-register by Monday, April 26th so we can give the restaurant a head count for food and to space out tables in the safest layout.
