November 14, 2017  - 2nd Annual Justice Underwood Professionalism Super-Pack program and  CLE LUNCHEON  (anticipated, pending, Approved for ? Hrs professionalism cle credit)

Please join the McLean County Bar Association  for the April Underwood luncheon program and afternoon seminar. The program will be held on April 4th  from 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at Reality on Monroe, 111 E. Monroe St., Bloomington, Illinois.  Click here to download the mail-in registration form.  

 *PLEASE NOTE:  Materials and meals are not guaranteed for late or “Walk-In” registrants.  Late and “Walk-In” registrants must wait until timely registered attendees have been served.  Also, materials will be emailed after the CLE to those who register after cut off or attend on a walk-in basis.

This offering from the McLean County Bar Association’s Underwood Committee on Professionalism is anticipated to provide three hours of professionalism/ethics CLE on a variety of subjects. The first hour session is entitled We Can Be Civil and Effective.  Hon. Paul Lawrence will present on this topic, drawing on materials from the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism, and adding the perspective of the local bar and courtroom. The second hour long session is an interactive legal writing exercise/program entitled Legal Writing for Today’s Legal Practice.  University of Illinois Law Professor Rammana Alam will lead us through a legal writing update from basics to more advanced.  In the final one-hour session, First Assistant McLean County State’s Attorney Adam Ghrist will present on recent developments in the law on post-conviction proceedings, and suggestions for file documentation.
