August 17, 2021 TO: McLean County State’s Attorney’s Office McLean County Public Defender’s Office McLean County Bar Association Circuit Court staff FROM: Chief Judge Mark Fellheimer RE: Dress Code Having allowed a relaxed dress code during the COVID-19 pandemic, and following discussion with the presiding circuit judges within the McLean County Circuit Court, effective September 1, 2021, the McLean County Law & Justice Center courtrooms and judicial offices will return to traditional courtroom business attire for attorneys appearing in court. All court staff and other staff working in the courtrooms will return to a business casual dress code for non-jury trial proceedings and traditional business attire for jury trials. The CLE presentation will cover settling cases with a Medicare beneficiary and understanding the Medicare Secondary Payer Statue. This session will also cover addressing Medicare liens, Medicare Set Asides, and how to administer those funds while adhering to the CMS guidelines.
