Wednesday, may 4 at 4.00 pm
The 2022 Law Day celebration will be held Wednesday, May 4 at Ewing Cultural Center from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. There will be a short program announcing the Community Service and Lincoln Award winners beginning at 5:15 p.m.
Guests are welcome. The costs is $20 per person. Senior attorneys (those practicing law 50+ years) and new admittees (2019 to the present) may attend free of charge*. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served with a cash bar. Entertainment will be provided by Austin Found.
The address for Ewing Cultural Center is 48 Sunset Road, Bloomington. Parking is available at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Those with mobility concerns may be dropped off at the entrance near the corner of Towanda Avenue and Emerson Street.
*Senior and newly admitted attorneys will receive an email invitation.

Learn the purposes and differences of the four most common personal protective orders, including Orders of Protection (OPs), Stalking No Contact Orders (SNCOs), Civil No Contact Orders (CNCOs), and Criminal Protective Orders (CPOs); who can be protected by the orders; the procedures for the filing and hearing of Petitions for these orders, including how emergency orders (EOPs, ESNCOs, and ECNCOs) are handled; the protective-order remedies available to victims of abuse/stalking/assault; plus some advanced practice tips that should help both the “newbie” and the “old pro” attorneys alike.
