spring handgun firearm training
A course for Beginners!

Payment Details

​$100/person - payable through the button below.
This includes use of clubhouse and range for day; lunch; targets and related other equipment; insurance; and the top level instructors! 

 
$15/person; for ammo - payable to Cory Wills on Saturday with cash or check.


Individuals are encouraged to bring their own firearm and 100 rounds of ammo.
​If you have the ability to purchase your own ammo, you do not need to pay Cory for the same. 


Payment of $100.00/person is due by Friday, 4/11 at noon.

Schedule
Saturday, April 12, 2025
(date confirmed with location; pending approval of May 17 back up date)

8 am (morning clubhouse instruction) to 4 pm (afternoon on the range)

Each participating person must sign a waiver. The 1-day liability policy of at least $1 million is figured into the class price. 

   Lunch: From Michael’s in Eureka, IL; will be ordered and delivered to Secor Sportsman’s Club

Instructors: Nathan Haynes, Master Certified Range Instructor; Cory Wills, Certified Range Instructor

Dress accordingly. Eye and hearing protection are required – bring your own.

Firearm safety
Firearm nomenclature (parts, etc.)
Proper trigger control
Proper sight alignment
Proper finger placement
Loading and unloading of firearm
Magazine loading
Malfunctions – How to clear them
Differentiate between revolvers, semi-auto, and single action, double action firearms

Cost
​$100/person;
Includes use of clubhouse and range for day; lunch; targets and related other equipment; insurance; and the top level instructors! 

 
$15/person; for ammo
If you do not have the ability to purchase ammo, then $15/person will be paid to Cory Wills on Saturday.
Please bring a check/cash for this.


Other Details
​Individuals are encouraged to bring their own firearm and 100 rounds of ammo.
​
If a participant does not have a firearm, there will be handguns to use; just bring 100 rounds of 9 mm “range” ammo. 
​Loaner guns are 9 mm.
