This year's tournament will be held on Wednesday, February 12 2020.  The rounds begin promptly at 9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m.

The Mock Trial tournament will be held in 3rd, 4th and 5th floor courtrooms of the Law & Justice Center located at 104 W. Front Street, Bloomington, Illinois.

There is an important note that this year it is imperative to monitor the round time closely so that each team has an equal chance.

A continental breakfast from 8:30 - 9:15 and lunch from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. will be provided at no charge for all volunteer judges. A free 1 hour PR MH CLE credit [approved] will be offered over the lunch time for all of the volunteer judges.

Recognizing, Understanding and Referring a Colleague in Need
Presented by

[1 hour PR MH SA CLE credit - Approved]
Please join the McLean County Bar Association for a presentation from the Lawyers' Assistance Program. The agenda will include information on LAP, attorneys as a vulnerable population, substance use, anxiety, depression, suicide and how to refer. This is a serious and necessary topic for this day and age. Please join us for an hour of information with the details listed below.
Recognizing, Understanding, and Referring a Colleague in Need (60 minutes)
Recent studies have confirmed that overwhelming stressors that are commonplace in our legal profession disproportionately results in attorneys suffering higher levels of depression, anxiety, substance use, burnout, cognitive problems, and other serious issues at rates much higher than those seen in the general population. Participants in this program will learn:
• Why attorneys are a vulnerable population;
• The common mental health and substance use issues faced by our colleagues;
• The signs and symptoms of those issues; and
• What to do when you identify a colleague in need.

This CLE is provided at no charge as a sincere appreciation to those generous volunteers who make these high school mock trials possible.

This is subsidized by the McLean County Bar Association Mock Trial Committee.
