MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENTAs the Holidays and 2020 are nearing, I hope everyone is finishing up decorating and shopping and spending some quality time with family and friends. I want to give a big shout out to all of you who donated to Prairie State Legal Services on #GivingTuesday or to the 17th annual Stuff the Bus to benefit The Children’s Home & Aid and Crisis Nursery last week. Your thoughtful giving to these beneficiaries is greatly appreciated! In that same spirit, I would be remiss if I did not send out a big "thank you" to all of you who signed up to purchase gifts for some residents of the McLean County Nursing Home. Our Project Santa gifts can be brought to our Christmas luncheon next Tuesday, December 17. In return for your time and generosity this year, the MCBA wants to give you some cheers, laughs and joy before the end of 2019. Please join us for our Holiday luncheon next Tuesday at the Bloomington Country Club. There is an opportunity to share stories of Holidays past. Please let me know if you would like to share with all of us a fun, hilarious, disastrous and/or memorable Holiday experience, law-related or not. Next Friday, December 20, we will be caroling at the McLean County Nursing Home. On that same Friday, we welcome all of our members and significant others to the Holiday Happy Hour at Medici's, beginning at 3:30 pm. Good food, some spirits and good times all sponsored by our MCBA. Note: Caroling is NOT a requirement to joining us at Medici's. Please come when you are able and stay as long as you wish ! We have everyone adopted! If you didn't have a chance to adopt a resident, the home staff suggested that there is always a need for bingo prizes such as: jewelry, playing cards, knickknacks, lotion, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, adult coloring books, colored pencils, postage stamps, etc.

Stay for 10 minutes and have a cup of coffee or stay for an hour and have a full breakfast before court. Grab an associate, partner or friend and come. See you Friday!
