MCBA Newsletter decEMBER 23, 2019
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
It's a short work week with the holidays so we don't have any MCBA activities, but I wanted to report on our busy past week.
I hope everyone had a fun and relaxed time at the Christmas luncheon. Congratulations to all of the PSLS Lifesaver Award recipients for well-deserved recognition and to our Scholarship recipient, Whitney Leifheit. If you did not win a Trivia gift, maybe you will next year!
Project Santa 2019 was a huge success so thank you to everyone who adopted a resident. The beaming and smiling faces on the McLean County Nursing Home residents and staff were truly priceless with our 20+ carolers singing their hearts out on Friday. I so appreciate all of our carolers. This year included our little elves (children of Nate Hinch and Ed McKibbin and my oldest). Be sure to listen to a couple of tunes by our budding musicians below!
The turnout for our Happy Hour at Medici was simply amazing and a great time was had by all! I am sorry for those who missed out on such a special evening. Thank you for a job well done by our Social Chairs, Nargis Khokhar and Michael Butts! The 50/50 drawing grew to more than $300 and was won by Gina and George Wood, but they returned their winnings so Children's Home & Aid will be receiving the entire pot. A huge Thank You to the Woods for their generosity and thanks to everyone who participated.
Looking ahead to 2020, please do not forget to renew your Bar membership!! See the link above for convenient registration.
I encourage everyone to attend our monthly luncheons as our CLE committee works hard to bring us interesting programs for CLE credit. I also, strongly encourage our members to partake in our Social events as Nargis and Michael continue in their efforts to not only provide us fun and exciting events, but activities of "giving" (back to our community).
Have a very blessed and Merry Christmas !!
