MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENTI hope that all of you had a wonderful holiday and time with family and loved ones. Please remember to renew your MCBA membership for 2020. The link is above this note. While today is CyberMonday, this week is noteworthy for greater causes... Today kicks off the 17th annual Stuff the Bus through December 7. The Children’s Home & Aid and Crisis Nursery will benefit from this six-day event to help restock their pantry with much needed supplies for at-risk children and families in our Bloomington Normal community. Please see the location drop off information below. Tuesday, December 3, is #GivingTuesday. Please consider helping Prairie State. There are several matching challenges. Please see below for more details. There are a few upcoming Bar events. Please sign up for our Christmas luncheon to be held at Bloomington Country Club on Tuesday, December 17. (see below) This luncheon will have a different twist than previous years. With Justice Knecht deciding to "retire" as speaker, our members are invited to provide fun, hilarious, disastrous and/or memorable Holiday experiences. Those stories can be either from the field of law or personal experience. We will be caroling at the McLean County Nursing Home on Friday, 12-20. Thank you to all who signed up to provide presents to the recipients of our Project Santa 2019. On that same Friday, we welcome all of our members and significant others to our Holiday Happy Hour at Medici's, beginning at 3:30 pm. There will be food and some spirits sponsored by our MCBA. Please RSVP below so we can plan to accommodate you and your guests. Come when you are able! I'm looking forward to celebrating the holidays with you. Have a great week ! Joe Foley Thursday - December 19, 2019 The McLean County Circuit Clerk’s Office - Holiday Luncheon Closed from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. reminder family law |
