**IMPORTANT NOTICE**

 
In preparation of the changes required for the new Recordkeeping Manual case types effective January 1, 2022, eFileIL will be unavailable statewide starting on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 12:00 PM CDT through Sunday, January 2, 2022 at 1:00 PM CDT.
  
Filers will be unable to submit documents to the court through eFileIL during this time, but will be permitted to file paper documents locally at the appropriate clerk’s office during regular business hours without needing to submit a Certificate of Exemption from e-Filing form. 
 
Reviewers will be able to continue reviewing from Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 12:00 PM CDT until Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 5:00 PM CDT. All queues will need to be cleared by Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 5:00 PM CDT.

Adopt a McLean County Nursing Home Resident

A GIFT OF ICE CREAM - an update


The McLean County Nursing Home residents love soft serve ice cream. They will be so happy if Santa brings them a soft serve machine they can enjoy all year.

The estimated cost for a new machine is $1500. [This amount does not include tax or the ice cream mix.]

Two very generous Elves gave $500 each for a total of $1000. The next $500 has been given in generosity by those listed below.

Theresa Stevens, a local court reporter, has donated to provide the soft serve ice cream for her Aunt who currently resides in The McLean County Nursing Home. Her Aunt can only be visited once every two weeks and she LOVEs soft serve ice cream!

Rusty DePew, Joseph Dehn and their office staff-Jacki Smith decided to make a donation as they have had family and still have clients who reside at The McLean County Nursing Home.

If you would like to make a contribution to the Ice Cream Machine fund, you are welcome to do so. The funds raised beyond the met goal of $1500 will be given to the home for the purchase of the machine, taxes and the ice cream mixes.

Many thanks to our own John Muir, JD and Mr. Craig Pawley who presented this original CLE on August 24, 2021. The CLE presentation covered settling cases with a Medicare beneficiary and understanding the Medicare Secondary Payer Statue. This session also covered addressing Medicare liens, Medicare Set Asides, and how to administer those funds while adhering to the CMS guidelines.
