updated: Bond Reform Nuts & Bolts: Illinois' Safety, Accountability, Fairness & Equity-Today (SAFE-T) Act

ORIGINALLY RECORDED - wednesday, november 2, 2022
updated: december 19, 2022

RECORDING ENDS - july 30, 2023
[1.5 hours general CLE CREDIT APPROVED]

Please join the McLean County Bar Association in welcoming Brendan Bukalski, Judge Costigan and Judge Kording. This one-hour program will address Bond Reform. Bond reform, commonly known as the “Pre-Trial Fairness Act” or the “Safe T Act,” will take effect in 2023. The Act completely overhauls our system from arrest to pre-trial procedure. Its impact will be felt by everyone involved in our criminal courts: those accused, police, clerks, jails, prosecutors and defense attorneys. Understandably, there are lots of questions about it. This CLE will help answer many questions about the Act, and will inform attendees of its content, implementation, and discuss possible issues and/or concerns.

The added 30 minute update is included in the price.

Please know this is a work in progress and there will likely be more updates as 2023 progresses.
