MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENTHope everyone had a great week and weekend. Tomorrow, October 15 is our monthly CLE luncheon. The program will be centered around Real Estate in Divorce. Please see the link below for more information on these upcoming CLEs. Also, the Young Lawyer Division are having a Happy Hour at Tony's Tacos across the street from the L & J Center with free food and beverages beginning at 5:00 pm. Please come and enjoy some grub and suds and laughs with the MCBA. And, even though Halloween is around the corner, I wanted to remind everyone that we are having our Holiday luncheon in December. Due to the great response last year, we will Adopt-a-Senior for gifts. The residents of The McLean County Nursing Home have little means to enjoy the holidays. We are planning to sing some holiday songs with them again this year. It was great fun and well-received by the residents last year. Be on the lookout for sign-up of the adoption list. Thank you in advance for your assistance! Lastly, there are 17 days left for second and third year Law students to submit an application for the annual MCBA scholarship. Please share this information with qualifying students. The deadline is October 31. Please see the application LINK. Have a great week ! In that time, we have had some very dedicated teacher sponsors and a local attorney coach (Mr. Robert White) that have helped to raise the bar for what our students accomplish with added program opportunities. In more recent years, we have had the good fortune of the partnership with the McLean County Bar Association in hosting an annual competition in March at the McLean County Law and Justice Center that continues to attract more and more teams from across Illinois. There are significant hurdles for us to compete at the level that many other teams...
