​Class Date: Tuesday, June 20th
Class Time: 6pm
Location: YMCA, 202 St Joseph Dr, Bloomington, IL 61704 - In the community Rooms
Class Length: 2hrs in person. 2hrs online (done before class start)
Cost​: $40/person
​
Description: This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants and meets OSHA/workplace requirements. This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion MUST be completed PRIOR to attending the in-class portion.

Details: Once you register, you will receive an email with the 2 hours of online classwork to be completed about a week before the class.

All members should plan to attend and cast their ballots as aforesaid. 
 
All members are further notified that pursuant to §9.2(b) of Article IX of the McLean County Bar Association By-Laws, not less than ten members may nominate other candidates for any office or offices described above.  Such nominations shall be in writing, signed by the nominators, and shall be filed with the Secretary of the Association not less than fifteen days preceding the date of the annual meeting as aforesaid.

THURSDAY - JUNE 22 - 4:30 PM

Members, please join us at our annual meeting.

The meeting will take place at the Bloomington Country Club, Bloomington Illinois. The doors will open at 4:30 pm and the meeting will commence at 5:00 pm on Thursday, June 22. 


This years agenda will include important business a summary of committee reports, a vote on open Board positions and the transition for the 2023-2024 term. This years agenda will also include the 2023 Young Lawyer of the Year Awards. The list of memorials who will be honored for those who have passed away will come soon.

​The cost is $30.00 if paid on or before Monday, June 12. After June 12, the cost increases to $35.00. Registration closes on Friday, June 16.

There will be appetizers provided along with a cash bar.

SPRING PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY WEBINAR

Do you still need your 1 hour of mental health/substance abuse credit? If so, register for our 2023 Spring Professional Responsibility webinar, which will be held on Friday, June 9th from Noon – 1:00 p.m. through Zoom!
 
The focus of the webinar is mental health and substance abuse and participants will learn:
  • Why attorneys are a vulnerable population;
  • The common mental health and substance use issues faced by our colleagues;
  • The signs and symptoms of those issues; and
  • What to do when you identify a colleague in need.
 
Cost is $32.50 for members, $40 for McLean County Bar Members and $47.50 for non-members. This seminar will not be recorded. It is a live webinar only.
 
The course will be submitted for 1 hour of mental health/substance abuse credit.

Join us in celebrating the legacies of our 2023 History Makers (Dotti Bushnell, Mary & Hank Campbell, Willie and Charles Halbert, and Guy Fraker).  The History Makers Gala will be held on Wednesday, June 21st, at the Brown Ballroom on the campus of Illinois State University. The Gala dinner will feature live entertainment that celebrates the honorees and their service to our community. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $100 for non-members and $75 for Museum members (reserve your seat before June 9th).

He previously worked in public safety and security roles and currently works in the National Guard.
