Pursuant to §9.2(a) of Article IX of the By-Laws of the McLean County Bar Association, the following have been slated as nominees for the below-named offices of the McLean County Bar Association for the 2023-2024 term: President: Nathan B. Hinch First Vice-President: Honorable Pablo Eves Second Vice President: John Pratt Secretary: Spencer Chikahisa Member, Board of Governors Jaime Ganschow Term Expiring 2027 The above-named nominees will be formally placed in nomination at the annual meeting of the Association on June 22, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at Bloomington Country Club, 605 Towanda Avenue, Bloomington, Illinois 61701. All members should plan to attend and cast their ballots as aforesaid. All members are further notified that pursuant to §9.2(b) of Article IX of the McLean County Bar Association By-Laws, not less than ten members may nominate other candidates for any office or offices described above. Such nominations shall be in writing, signed by the nominators, and shall be filed with the Secretary of the Association not less than fifteen days preceding the date of the annual meeting as aforesaid. is the 2023 MCBA representative for the “20 Stars for Life” fundraiser!
JULY 20
The fundraiser benefits the Life Foundation’s “Stay 4” Project. https://www.stay4.org/ This program identifies low income students at risk for dropping out of school and links them with educational opportunities and scholarships. It also provides the students with a minimum $1,000 grant once the student enrolls in trade school, community college or a 4 year university. This includes most area high schools including my alma mater, Bloomington High School.
The fundraising event with dinner, drinks and entertainment is on July 20 at the Park Regency Hotel in Bloomington. With the purchase of each ticket, you will be helping at risk kids finish high school and continue their education. Each ticket is $50.
