The McLean County Bar Association ("MCBA") is pleased to announce the selection of local Attorney Megan (Weiler) Green as the 2013 recipient of the MCBA Young Lawyer of the Year Award. The Award was presented on June 18th by Judge Kevin Fitzgerald, outgoing President of the McLean County Bar Association. Megan is employed by State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company as Counsel. She is a 2009 graduate from the University of Iowa College of Law, and was admitted to the Illinois Bar that same year. Since beginning her legal career, Megan has been active with the MCBA Board of Governors. She has held the position of Treasurer for the last three years, served as Chairperson of the MCBA Mentoring Program and actively participated in the Lawyers in the Classroom committee. Through Megan's leadership, the MCBA Mentoring Program was the first county mentoring program of its kind to be approved by the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism. Among other extra-curricular activities, Megan has volunteered to assist with high school mock trial competitions, volunteered through the YouthBuild organization and is active with the Illinois State Bar Association, including helping to develop some of their corporate-related Continuing Legal Education programs for attorneys throughout the State of Illinois. The McLean County Bar Association is pleased to recognize the outstanding contributions of Megan Green to the McLean County legal profession..

McLEAN COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION OVERVIEW MCBA is a valuable resource for both the legal profession, as well as for members of the McLean County community. From continuing legal education and support services, to our lawyer referral services, we're dedicated to helping our members achieve their goals, and to promoting public awareness and keeping the legal system accessible to all. Members of the Bar recognize their responsibility to the community. Whether it is the Lawyers in the Classroom program or the acceptance of referrals from Prairie State Legal Services, local attorneys are at the forefront of providing services to the general public.
With the growing legal community, the Bar Association is the central social and professional organization on the local level. It provides opportunities for local attorneys to network and connect with legal professionals. This permits a community of legal services that maintains the small town trust with the large town expertise.
The McLean County Bar Association is a non-partisan, not-for-profit Illinois Corporation with the tax return available for viewing at the office of Catherine Pratt, 415 North Center Street in Bloomington, Illinois. The corporate name is "Bar Association of McLean County."

Real estate lawyers provide indispensable advice and protection in your real estate sale or purchase.
