Lincoln 8th Circuit Tour - Join the MCBA Saturday, May 18, 2013 for our "Lincoln 8th Circuit Tour." This is an all day event in which we will be touring the west half of the 8th Circuit via an Elegant Limousine bus. Local Lincoln Historian, Guy Fraker, will narrate the trip. Six hours of professional CLE credit is pending. The cost of the tour is $50 per person. We will be stopping for lunch on your own in Metamora. Attendees' families and friends are welcome to join. We will be leaving at 8:00 a.m. and returning at 5:00 p.m. Please park in the Lincoln Parking Deck on the East side of the Law & Justice Center (for free). We will meet at 8:00 a.m. in front of the Judge David Davis' office at the corner of Front and Main streets. Please send your payments to the McLean County Bar Association, P.O. Annual Meeting - Members, please join the MCBA Tuesday, June 18, 2013 for our Annual Meeting and Luncheon. Important business will include Memorial Resolutions for our Bar Association members who passed away, a summary of committee reports, a vote on open Board positions and the transition for the 2012-2013 term. The event will be held at Second Presbyterian Church at 313 North East Street, Bloomington, IL. The cost of the luncheon is $15. MENTORING PROGRAM: Click here for more information about the McLean County Bar Association's Mentoring Program which has been approved by the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism to provide ethics CLE credits for mentor and mentee participants.

ANNOUNCEMENT:  Local Attorney Ryan Gammelgard has been selected by the McLean County Bar Association (“MCBA”) for the first annual Young Lawyer of the Year Award.  The Award was presented by Attorney Erin Donaldson of the Association’s Scholarship and Community Service Committee at the annual Law Day Luncheon on May 1, 2012.  Ryan is an Attorney with the Illinois Agricultural Association, and is a 2006 graduate of the University of Illinois, College of Law.  In addition to his MCBA Board participation and work with the Bar Association, Ryan is active with various organizations including the Illinois State Bar Association, David Davis Mansion Foundation and volunteering for Prairie State Legal Services.  Ryan has spoken on various legal issues including wind energy law and corporate political activities law.  The Bar Association is pleased to recognize the outstanding contributions of Ryan Gammelgard to the McLean County Legal Profession.

McLEAN COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION OVERVIEW MCBA is a valuable resource for both the legal profession, as well as for members of the McLean County community. From continuing legal education and support services, to our lawyer referral services, we're dedicated to helping our members achieve their goals, and to promoting public awareness and keeping the legal system accessible to all. Members of the Bar recognize their responsibility to the community. Whether it is the Lawyers in the Classroom program or the acceptance of referrals from Prairie State Legal Services, local attorneys are at the forefront of providing services to the general public.

With the growing legal community, the Bar Association is the central social and professional organization on the local level. This permits a community of legal services that maintains the small town trust with the large town expertise.

The McLean County Bar Association is a non-partisan, not-for-profit Illinois Corporation with the tax return available for viewing at the office of Catherine Pratt, 415 North Center Street in Bloomington, Illinois. The corporate name is "Bar Association of McLean County."

Real estate lawyers provide indispensable advice and protection in your real estate sale or purchase.
